All about me

My name is Jiajie Liu, and I am a pre-service teacher studying Master of Early Childhood Teaching at the UniSA.

I came from China and lived in a small city near Nanjing. I was inspired by being a teacher because of my younger brother. I have been receiving positive feedback from my friends and families, saying my cheerful and friendly nature enables me to work with children and become a great teacher. I enjoyed working with young children and was passionate and excited about every improvement children achieved in their life.

Philosophy

I firmly believe that children are competent and independent learners. I value the importance of building a relationship with the children and their families and agree that children learn best when they feel safe and secured. I also believe that children learn in a play-based environment, and they are competent in acquiring knowledge from what interests them and what they discovered in their life. Therefore, I will strive to provide a wide array of authentic learning experience to meet children's needs as well as seek out possibilities to achieve their full potentials.
