English Film Review
Within English students were focusing on the text type of Film Review. For this unit of work, students were reviewing Pixar’s film WALL-E (2008).
Students viewed the film throughout the beginning of the lesson sequence, progressively note taking narrative techniques and film features in the form of plot charts and character maps.
English Film Review lessons regularly took place after students’ lunch break. Completing these lessons within this time slot allowed students to recuperate whilst watching the film and encouraged students to refocus when analysing or reviewing.
