Graduate level: Understand strategies for working effectively, sensitively and confidentially with parents/carers.

As a pre-service teacher going into a classroom full of new students and families it is essential that we use a variety of strategies to create that relationship with parents/caregivers so we can work in partnership to educate their child.

At the beginning of Professional Experience 3 I created a door flyer that was placed on the front door to the classroom and was also placed online on the rooms Class DoJo page. This allowed parents and caregivers to see who I was and to read a little bit about why I was in the classroom. This created the foundation for communication with parents throughout my placement block.
